Britney Spears is engaged and showing off the ring. The 39-year-old pop princess last night confirmed she is engaged to 27-year-old boyfriend Sam Asghari, with content on both their Instagrams sharing the happy news. Personal trainer Sam shared a photo of Britney flaunting her new ring as she kind of flipped the bird with her fourth finger.
Meanwhile, "Toxic" singer Britney shared a video of her shock and happiness as she looks forward to a life with the man she's been dating since 2016.
Scroll for photos and the video. The announcement comes as Britney's father Jamie Spears files to end her 13 years of conservatorship. Earlier this year, the Grammy winner told a Los Angeles court judge that the conservatorship was banning her from marrying Asghari - and from having a baby with him.
Asghari's post showed Britney's face hidden as she stood outdoors in a frilly pink top and showed off the ring - per Page Six, a “4-karat round brilliant stone in a platinum cathedral setting enhanced with a floating solitaire design.”
Spears was throwing out the not-quite-middle finger as Sam stood next to her in a red shirt. The love-birds then reappeared in video mode as Britney looked delighted and a little shocked while indoors and writing: "I can't f-cking believe it!!!!"
Britney and Sam met in 2016 on the set of the blonde's "Slumber Party" music video. Asghari lives with Spears in her L.A. mansion and has been backing her throughout her legal dramas, even wearing a #FreeBritney shirt this year. See the video after the snap.
Congratulations have been pouring in. Leaving love was socialite and #FreeBritney supporter Paris Hilton, who wrote: "Congratulations love!! 😍 So happy for you! Welcome to the club!"
Fans, however, managed to shade the happy news by warning Britney to sign a prenup. The singer has been married twice before. She shares teenage sons Jayden and Sean with ex-husband Kevin Federline. Asghari is also fresh from claiming his Instagram was hacked in a ring photo drama, one that now seems somewhat irrelevant.
Speaking to Page Six, Sam's manager revealed:
“The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them/ Roman Malayev from NYC is the ring designer. He couldn’t be more happier to be involved and make this a one-of-a-kind ring.”
Britney's Instagram announcement also received likes from TikTok star Addison Rae, actresses January Jones and Sarah Hyland, plus 30-year-old sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Fans don't have a wedding date, but they will be keeping their eyes peeled.
