The 2016 NBA Finals will go down as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, of all time.

It was the first time a team came back from a 3-1 deficit, cementing LeBron James as one of the best players to ever do it. Moreover, it helped him fulfill his promise of delivering a ring to the city of Cleveland, all while beating the 73-win Golden State Warriors.

It doesn't get any better than that.

But as you may know by now, Skip Bayless will never, ever give LeBron any credit. That's why it wasn't surprising to see him state that the Cavs didn't win that ring but Steph Curry lost it:

"We had seen Steph meltdown almost as bad as LeBron melted down in the 2011 finals against Dallas it in games four, five, I’m sorry five, six, and seven Steph Curry disappeared," Bayless said on Undisputed.

Curry wasn't at his best during the final stretch of those games. Matthew Dellavedova played solid defense on him, and Draymond Green's suspension also put the Dubs in a lot of trouble. But again, Bayless puts all the blame on Steph:

“He came up even smaller than he is, you can just check the facts go look at the stats of those three games it was all about what Steph didn’t do and it opened the door for LeBron and Kyrie and company to run right through it," Bayless added.

Bayless didn't credit Kyrie Irving's epic shot, LeBron James going berserk mode, or Tyronn Lue's in-game adjustments. Per the controversial pundit, it was Steph that gave the ring away:

“They [LeBron & Kyrie] even took over game seven thanks to Steph in the fourth quarter going one of six and one of five from three and he was he was horrendous he was the reason that LeBron got that ring he gifted a ring to LeBron James," Skip continued.

Warriors Needed KD

Per Skip, the Warriors actually needed Kevin Durant to beat LeBron and they wouldn't have won back-to-back championships the next two seasons if it wasn't for KD:

“He [Curry] was so bad that they knew they were going to have to face LeBron coming through the east the cakewalk that it was in those days maybe a couple of more times and that’s what happened but if you go get that nuclear weapon the best player on the planet all of a sudden the playing field tilts back in your favor there’s no way Steph was going to beat LeBron in 2017 and 2018 without Kevin Durant," Bayless concluded.”

That's just good old Skip Bayless right there.
